In 2007, Milton CC 1st XI competed in CCA Junior League Div 1 N and the CCA Junior Cup. In the league we finished 1st out of 10 teams with 10 wins, 4 losses and 4 games cancelled due to rain, earning promotion to Senior League Division 3. By beating the Junior 1S champions, Great Chishill, we were crowned the Junior League Champions. We reached the quarter finals in the cup.
Our success this year was grounded in a confidence amongst the players that we could win every game even when behind in a match situation. We showed more consistency batting with seven players scoring 50s. Despite a couple of close losses in the second half of the season we held our nerve to take the title.
Individual awards this year were awarded to Mark Barton (Best Bowler), Sandeep Mohanraj (Best Batsman), Ally Minto (Player of the Year), Sam Allen (Young Player of the Year) and Simon Coston (Best Fielder).
